Last blogg???

To be honest, I've always been good at English or sort of. I haven't learned a lot in college like new words or stuff like that, but it helped me a lot to speak it better, to try to "make" conversations and it was a really nice experience to do it. certain "games" that the teacher did for us were really nice and didactic and I guess they were helpful for me and my companions to just try and speak in English with no shame
Blogs weren't my favorite subject at first, but now I guess it really helped me to use English more properly, it was quite fun!
I guess that the only thing that I really, really need to improve is me speaking  the language. Is kind of difficulty trying to speak it if you aren't with someone who does it properly.
Maybe I can practise more with my brothers at home or stuff like that …

Also, I need to learn a couple of scientist word because I need to read more papers :(
Is this really the last English lab? I can believe it!
Outside English class, I speak a lot of EnglishI love bothering my little sister talking her in EnglishI also speak a little with my girlfriend when we are bored.
Also, very important,
I normally try to look information for certain classes at the university (like botany, analytic chemistry, etc.) and is really difficult to find this kind of information in Spanish, so I need to look in other languages like English and this way I can find this information more easily.

In my opinion ;)

  • What’s your opinion about buying instead of adopting pets?
Well, I guess that’s totally wrong, buying a fancy pet instead of adopting one of the thousand               animals that are on street seem very stupid to me. Who cares if you have a fancy, exotic pet?               Adopt! There are a lot of animals that suffers on the streets, so why not help one of them?

  • What’s your opinion about legalizing marijuana and other drugs?
I think marijuana should be legal. Think about it, marijuana is one of the most used drugs in the          country, everybody knows it, and It’s less harmful than alcohol and cigarettes, it helps people to         sleep and for the pain. Of course in the case of legalize it, there should be a regulation of it (for           example: not drive when you consumed it).

  • What is your opinion about the legalization of abortion in the 3 cases?
I’m totally in favor in this subject, woman that put in danger her own life, woman who are                  forced to keep a non-viable pregnant, woman who suffered a violation should have the option to          end their pregnancy. I agree to with a free abortion law, woman should be capable of choose               about a subject so delicate for them.

  • What is your opinion about recycling?
We should all try to recycle, the country and the entire world is full of our trash and it has                     consequences that will harms us in a nearly future (the sea life, the global warming, the climate          change, species put in danger).

  • What’s your opinion about immigration?
I guess it’s a controversial subject in this country, immigration has come massive in the later               years, but people often blame the immigrants, but it’s not their fault that the immigration policies        be so deficient. If people come to our country is because they are looking for better opportunities.        We should be more empathic with them.

Cartoons, comic, others

Well, I’m a fan of a lot of cartoons and anime.
I guess that one of my favorites show from all times is the Simpsons, it’s a classic. I’ve used to watch it a lot when I was a kid, late at night and at the lunch time. I guess it was a really great show because it showed the classical stereotypes of the American culture in a funny way, we all can be related to a character, and that make us an stereotype too, and is not wrong, its normal.
I also like to read mangas too, at the time I haven’t read a lot because I don’t have too much time to spend on it, but I used to read a lot when I was on high school.
One of my favorite’s mangas was Claymore, I don’t remember that much of the story, only that there was a girl who fought with some kind of monster that could take human form. It was really fun and the plot was really mature, for all I can remember. I also read Gantz, one of my favorite’s too, it was about a boy who died and immediately after he died he teleport to a room and had to fight against aliens.
I like batman too, when I was in high school I used to read all the comics that I could find online, is one of my favorites superhero because unlike the most of them, he is human; he doesn’t have superpowers, he became a superhero by himself. Also I think a lot of the plots that surround batman are really dark, really interesting, and a bit different than the classic superheroes like superman or spiderman.
I guess that cartoons, mangas, anime, TV shows are a good topic to know a person, cause it’s something that we all are related.

Future Job

what will be my future job? I’ve always thought of it, and sometimes the idea of not liking my future job scares me a little.
I’m studying something that I didn’t like at first, chemistry was a nightmare for me in first year, bu with the time, and I’ve started to love it.
So, maybe I will definitely like any job that has chemistry on it, but also, I will really like to help other people
I would like to work on a hospital, it’s my ideal work. Trying to help people with meds, explain them how to use them properly, making that they get them faster that now (my mother has to wait between two and three hours to get hers meds in the hospital), contribute to people’s health.

I now that getting in the public system is not that easy, so I’m pretty sure that maybe I’ll never work in a hospital, so my second choice would be to work in a lab, in a pharmaceutical laboratory.  I now it doesn’t sound likely a hospital and helping people, but in a pharmaceutical laboratory I can contribute to that too, making my best to help people, give them safe and efficient meds maybe try to develop a new drug that will help thousands of people. That will be definitely my ideal future job, use all I’ve learned and try to get something positive for other people
;)

Post Title estudies

Well, to be honest I haven’t been too busy thinking about doing post graduate studies; They may be too expensive or it may be too difficult for me; maybe it’s too much time studying.

Supposing that I had the time to continue my studies, and of course the money, I will be really interested in getting a Pharmacology Ph D. Of course it’s a very long time to get that grade, but it sound really interesting, and fun. I really like chemistry, and pharmacology is a subject that always has drawn my attention so I may be really happy trying to get the Ph D.

I’m also interested in maybe doing a post title. It’s less time and at least two of the three options that I have for that sounds interesting. A post title doesn’t draw my attention too much, ttherapeutic equivalence in the other hand, sound interesting and useful for my labor future, and so does management in healthcare pharmacy. Like this course is not too long, and doesn’t need to be all week in the university, maybe I can work part time so I can study. Now that I think about it, it seems like a really good idea!
I may even try and get a post graduate study outside the country, if I get the chance of course.

Pets

I've had a lot of pets in my life, I've had hamsters, dog, parrots, cats, even a duck. But my favorites so far, I would say that those are Kira and Nina.
Nina was a cockatiel, she was really annoying, always screaming and pooping everywhere. But still, she was a very loving bird, she was free inside the house and in the night she'd cuddle with me or my sister. unfortunately, this little bird died a few years ago. we bury her in the front yard and put a little stone for her. I don't have a picture of her.

My second, and still living pet is Kira. She is a small cat that my brother brought home two years ago. When she first came into the house, the was really scared, but in the night she went to sleep on my bed, it was really cute. This little cat turned to be really smart and very uneasy, she used to steal from me a pencil or a rubber and start playing with it when I was studying.
My sister brought her cat too, so he and Kira always go out and play, even they sometimes fight and Kira always win.

A country i would like to visit

I would really like to visit Iceland, it a small country in Europe, in the middle of the sea, a little island.
I don't really know much about the country except that they have a book with the native families of the island, almost everyone is on it!

A couple of years ago, the country suffered an economic crisis, the banks broke and a lot of people lost everything. But fortunately, the country recovered thanks to tourism. I read on the internet that this tourism has increased even more with the years. The landscapes are very beautiful, but yet, very raw, very natural. I would really like to go there someday, maybe even live there! The language may be difficult but the weather seems really cool so I would be quite happy with that.
Plus, is the birthland of Björk, one of my favourites artist in all time and one of the greatest voices in the world
And also, I’ve read that people in there are really nice with tourist, so I would really like to go there someday

Concert ;)

For my birthday three years ago, my brother bought me a ticket to go to the “Santiago gets louder”, a metal festival. Of course, it was a really wonderful experience.
It was a Saturday, and I went to the festival with my two older brothers and my little sister. We woke up really early that day and we took the public bus to Maipu, the festival was on the ex-airport “Los Cerrillos”.
As soon as we enter the area, me and my brother split, we wanted to see different bands.
There was really a lot of people, I went close to the stage where Gojira was playing, the music was so loud and chaotic, but yet really beautiful, everyone was singing and jumping.  A little later I saw Lamb of God in the next stage. And after them, I saw Deftones playing at the side stage. Deftones is one of my favourites band so I was really excited and, lucky me, I was really close to the stage.
After that, I met my brothers and together we saw Faith no more, although I didn’t liked the band that much, it was an excellent performance. Finally the last band on stage was System of a Down, at that time I was really tired, but still, I jumped and sing as loud as I could, I even get on a mosh pit, it was really, really fun, I punched a guy in the face without notice. When the last song ended, we walked to the outside; it was a really long distance from the stages to the main street so when we got there, we were exhausted.
To finish that night, we bought pizza as we waited for my father to pick us up. It was one of the best days of my life and I will never forget it.
